TGIF Episode 4 - El Dorado Saloon & Grill
El Dorado Saloon & Grill
Definitely one of El Dorado Hills' must visit restaurants; El Dorado Saloon and Grill is a family owned business located across from the Safeway Shopping Center on the corner of Francisco Dr and Green Valley Rd. In 2016 Ron and his wife Kat, along with his brother and parents took over the establishment formerly known as El Dorado Saloon and started El Dorado Saloon and Grill.
In this episode Renee and Maic interview Co-owner Ron Martin. Watch the entire episode to find out all about the amazing menu. One of their signature meats is tri-tip. El Dorado Saloon and Grill prepares it outside on a Santa Maria style grill, fired by oak wood. If you are in the area around lunch time your senses will get tickled by the great smell of the grill. Aside from tri-tip, sandwiches and burgers you can't miss the tacos. In fact, if you like Street Tacos you must come for Taco Tuesday. In the past, El Dorado Saloon and Grill had a mystery EDH taco each Tuesday. Because it was such a hit, 8 of the most popular mystery Tacos are now available on the the daily menu. El Dorado Saloon is also open for Brunch on the weekends.
Music is a big part of the Saloon and Grill. Wednesdays is open Mic night, Thursday nights the focus is on live acoustic music. On Friday and Saturday nights the venue changes up completely and they bring in live bands starting at 9PM. Rounding out the weekend with live music on Sundays from 12pm to 3Pm. Outside of running El Dorado Saloon and Grill; Ron, Kat and the whole family focus on giving back to the community. Both Ron and Kat coach at Oak Ridge High school. Ron is a coach for the varsity football team and Kat for the varsity Cheer. They support local fundraisers and local organizations like Foothill Dog Rescue. The patio is very dog friendly. Since filming this episode, we have taken Piper twice and she is a huge fan now too! Kat even brought her a small plate of her own tri-tip.
